Hi, I'm Rachel
Founder of Roots Creative Floristry, happy wife to Ben and busy Mum to Austen, Eli and Otis.
After beginning life in the floristry world as a delivery driver, I gradually gained more quality time in the shops to train as a florist.
Following a booster course in Covent Garden, London, I felt confident to go it alone and started my beautiful little business in July 2014 from my dining room table. Armed with 2 years experience, a computer, a source of fresh flowers and the necessary equipment, I was ready and raring to go.
I haven’t looked back since. The beauty of Roots is how personal a pursuit it has been for me, weaved into every element of my life: I designed and created my own wedding flower arrangements, started up on my own when pregnant with my first baby boy; created my close friend’s wedding flowers a fortnight after the birth of my second baby boy, and had the honour of dressing my Grandad’s coffin.
Roots is an extremely important part of me and I'm LOVING weaving my roots into our wonderful home on the south coast, in Southbourne.
